Got the Beeza bobber fitted out with a slightly wider, higher profile rear tyre, and a pair of sexy brass fuel taps!!

A grey and gloomy Sunday seemed like a fitting backdrop for some pics of a bike originally born in Small Heath's dark satanic mills!

Been making a neater plate and rear light mount. Just needs painting and wiring in.

Got a snap of the bobber in the sun today, outside Lee's studio in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.

Made a bracket up to mount the ammeter on the Beeza, it'll fit between the tank and seat.

Thought I'd give the Beeza a full rewire whilst the magneto armature was away for rewind.

Nibbed the top off the paint 'cos I wanted it flat, and re-fitted them to see if the colour works. Am quite happy with the way it's turned out.

Got the tank welded, thanks Steve. Would have done it myself, but hey... Quick paint job, will see how it looks in the morning.

The B side.

After I got the bobber off the ramp I realized I'd made a faux pas with the front brake torque arm! So I carved a longer dog bone, re-worked the cable stop and shortened the cable to suit, result-a brake that works when you want it to!!

At last, off the bench and outside for a look! Assembled the forks, shortened the fork springs and fitted the new seals and gaiters. It's nice to be able to step back and check the proportions are right, there's not enough room in the garage.

Re-furbed the battery tray, scored an old leather belt off the 'bay, some brass rivets too, and bought a faux rubber battery from www.feked.com.

Got a bit more done to the front end, the things that you can't really see and take all the time, mounted the speedo too.

'57 Beeza bagger! Was trying to find a "before" pic of the bobber project, this is how it's looked for the last 5 years I've had it, my regular "live to ride, ride to work" bike!

Finally got the tank fitted!! Turned up some bosses, tacked them to the frame, made some brackets and tacked them to the tank, sorted!

"Made" a headlight out of an old Lucas foglamp. Going to have to adjust the bracket when the yokes are in their correct place.

The front end's coming along. Got the top bearing and cup fitted. Front wheel spacers sorted and lower legs shaved. Fabbed a cable stop and rough torque arm so I could make up the cable. Just got to shorten the stem, springs and fork legs, and we're done! (Oh, and mount the tank!)

Got the new forks and yokes dropped in to try and set the ride height. Going to have to make some bearing cups, shave the lower legs and maybe shorten the tubes.

Rear mudguard fitted. Got the brackets made and tacked on.

Got the rear seat mounts finished and tacked on, the plate and rear light combo fitted, and the silencer bracket fabbed. Also got half-way to fitting the rear mudguard.
