A couple of years ago I bought this 1929 Triumph CN500. This is all there was. I've since sourced another engine, stripped them both and pushed it to the back of the shed, which is where it resides. One day, I'm going to get my finger out and put it back on the road, where it belongs!! The last pic shows what it could look like!

    1. Hi Anon,
Sorry, but I bought it to ride, and I'm determined to do that.
Admittedly it's not even on the back-burner at the moment, I've got other projects on the go, but I will get there!
      Thanks for your interest.
      Cheers, Andy.

  3. Hi Andy I have one in the same state of disrepair as yours and like you too many projects. I have it semi assembled on a stand at work where customers admire her and I look at her to gain inspiration, like you I am determined to assemble it to ride without restoring her to as new, I will ride as is until Im old and senile then I will rebuild her to original. I would like to make contact and swap notes on our CN500 resto journey.
    Cheers John

    1. Hi John,
Great to hear from another CN500 owner! I tried to email you back, but to no avail. If you could get in touch with me through the contact box at the top of the blog, I'll get back to you.
      Cheers, Andy.

  4. Well..I only have one engine and one good gas tank.
If someone wants to buy them..let me know.
I would also consider buying a gearbox and frame to get this bike rolling if o could find the old parts for restore. etcmmr(at)ua.pt
